The “fine print”:
Communication
We answer questions as quickly as possible after receipt.
We send an email confirming that the package has been mailed, usually the same day as we mail the package.
Payment
We accept cash, cheques, money order and paypal.
Handling Time
Items are mailed within 1 business day of payment clearing, except for payments made after noon my time of Friday, in which case the item will be mailed Tuesday as we no longer mail on Mondays due to business constraints. Business days refers to weekdays, not weekends commencing noon on Friday my time, or holidays. Please note that the Canadian holidays are not always the same day as holidays in the US or overseas.
Post Office Delivery Timeframe
Delivery within Canada usually takes about 1 week, sometimes less. Delivery from Canada to the US takes about 1-2 weeks, 4-6 weeks if it’s going by surface (mail goes by truck, stopping at customs and in cities all along the way). Delivery from Canada overseas is typically by surface mail (because it’s a lot less expensive) and it can take anywhere from 6-18 weeks to arrive (mail goes by truck to the east or west coast of Canada, and then by boat, stopping at customs and at ports all along the way).
Mailing, Shipping and Handling
We quote the most economical rate and we mail world-wide using Canada Post.
Postage for international destinations (outside of Canada and the United States), varies by destination. Please email and we'll be happy to provide you with a S&H quote.
Unless otherwise stated in the listing, shipping and handling is actual postage charged by the post office (including tax which does not appear on the postage on the envelope), plus $0.50 handling for all items except items shipped light packet, small packet, or parcel. $0.75 handling will apply to items shipped light packet, small packet or parcel. $0.75 handling will also apply if you wish to change shipping method specified (e.g. from surface to air, to another carrier, etc.).
Canada Post determines postage by weight. If you'd like the item shipped air, expedited, or priority courier where we’ve indicated surface, please let us know and we’ll be happy to provide a quote - shipping and handling will cost more. If you want the item insured, please let us know - it’s optional and we’ll be happy to provide a quote for that too. We will not be responsible for items lost or damaged by any of the post offices handling the package. The buyer is responsible for any customs costs, tariffs or duties.
Combined Shipping
We are happy to combine shipping as long as all items are paid for in one payment. You’re welcome to request a S&H quote. Handling for items 2-4 is an additional $0.25 each. There is no handling charge for the 5th and subsequent items paid for and mailed in the same shipment.
Local Pickup
We do accept local pickup. Payment must be made in cash in Canadian funds at the time of pickup. We convert the total cost of the item(s) plus the handling charges to Canadian funds using XE.com, and provide you with the total cost in Canadian funds.
